In one of the historic event’s most dramatic finishes, Stephen Nobles won both the distance and accuracy titles in the Sixth Annual AT Paper Airplane Contest.
In achieving a record distance of nearly 40 yards, Stephen flew a boxy craft of his own design. He then piloted IT colleague Miguel Nieves’s sleeker machine to win the accuracy contest as well, achieving an unprecedented dual-category victory.
“I’m still a little overwhelmed,” said Stephen, fighting back tears. “Aside from helping Ashton Tiffany provide its clients with the world’s finest risk management services, winning these titles is my life’s dream.”
To qualify for the contest, planes must be crafted from standard 8.5” x 11” printer paper and launched by hand from behind the railing on the third floor in front of the Ashton Tiffany elevators.
